Volunteer Your Time

Foodbank Warehouse Volunteer

We are fortunate to receive food donations from our community. We need volunteers to sort through these items.

Duties Include:

  • Checking dates and sorting the food into categories
  • Preparing food orders for food bank clients

Shop Volunteer

We run our Love it Again charity shop which is on West Street in the town centre.  It is open Monday-Saturday 9:30am-5:00pm. The charity relies on the income it generates to continue our work in the community.

Duties include:

  • Providing assistance and advice to any customers requiring help
  • Keeping the shop and displays clean and tidy at all times
  • Assisting in rotating stock and improving displays as required
  • Taking payments from customers

Previous experience in a customer facing role would be beneficial however full training can be given.

Foodbank Volunteer

We are proud to be able to support the people of Horsham who are in need of food supplies. For many of these families it is the difference between having nothing to eat and being able to provide a meal for their family.

Duties include:

  • Preparing the food bank for clients;
  • Greeting clients
  • Supporting clients to access the foodbank
  • Completing record keeping

Connecting Café Volunteer

We run two community cafes a week, one in Roffey and one in Pulborough.  These are aimed at tackling food poverty but also isolation. 

Duties include:

  • Providing a welcoming environment for customers
  • Taking orders at the table
  • Serving hot and cold drinks
  • Serving prepared meals
  • Clearing tables
  • Taking payments from customers or meal tokens
