To celebrate 20 years of Horsham Matters supporting the community, we’re inviting local businesses to take part in a special Corporate Walking Challenge across the beautiful West Sussex countryside.

This professionally organised fundraising event is a chance for your team to step away from the office, connect with colleagues, and make a real difference for families across Horsham District.

About the Event

Join corporate teams from across the district for a guided 20km charity walk across the South Downs, finishing in Pulborough.

This memorable day is designed to bring businesses together in support of a shared cause while promoting wellbeing, teamwork and community impact.

  • Start Location: Amberley
  • Finish Location: Pulborough
  • Distance: Approximately 20km
  • Format: Corporate teams walking together with professional guides
  • Team Size: Up to 10 people per team

The walk is designed to be accessible yet rewarding, suitable for a wide range of fitness levels, with a strong emphasis on shared achievement, enjoyment and purpose.

What’s Included on the Day

This is a fully supported walking challenge, professionally delivered by Pied A Terre Adventures, an award-winning Sussex-based outdoor adventure provider.

Participants will receive:

  • Professionally guided walk led by qualified local experts
  • Full event management and safety planning
  • Risk assessments and first aid cover
  • Checkpoints throughout the route
  • Water available during the walk
  • Logistics support along the route

Basic Team Package

A simple and cost-effective way to get involved while making a meaningful charitable contribution.

Includes:

  • Team entry to the Horsham Matters Walking Challenge

  • Route planning, risk assessments and first aid cover.
  • Participation in a flagship 20-year anniversary event
  • Horsham Matters 20km Walk medal

Cost: £40 per person
Fundraising pledge: £100 per person

Teams can include up to 10 participants.

Advanced Team Package (Includes Event T-Shirt)

Perfect for businesses looking to build stronger team identity and visibility.

Includes everything in the Basic Package, plus:

  • Branded event T-shirt featuring Horsham Matters and your company name

Cost: £50 per person
Fundraising pledge: £100 per person

Your Fundraising Impact

Each participant pledges to raise at least £100 through a JustGiving page.

If your business enters a full team of ten, you could raise a minimum of £1,000 to support Horsham Matters.

Funds raised will help us:

  • Provide emergency food for families who are struggling to afford meals
  • Offer advice and support services to residents across Horsham District
  • Continue delivering practical help to people facing hardship

Your team’s efforts will directly support people in your own community.

About the Event Provider

The event will be delivered by Pied A Terre Adventures (PATA), a trusted outdoor adventure company with over 15 years’ experience delivering corporate and charity walking challenges.

All walks are led by qualified professional guides with full safety planning, risk assessments and first aid provision in place.

This ensures a safe, inspiring and professionally managed experience for all participants.

Taking part is simple.

Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so early registration is recommended.
