On Tuesday 22nd September, we delighted to welcome 23 volunteers from People’s Partnership for a morning of volunteering across Horsham Matters.
The group split up to support several of our programmes, with volunteers lending a helping hand at our allotment, foodbank, warehouse and café. From helping maintain our allotment with their gardening skills, to sorting donations in the foodbank, every volunteer contributed to the smooth running of our services.

Celebrating Teamwork
After a busy and rewarding morning helping out, volunteers headed to our Roffey Connecting Cafe for a delicious lunch, providing opportunity to reflect on the morning and celebrate everything they achieved.
Our Connecting Cafe’s in Roffey and Pulborough are an important part of our essential services, providing welcoming community spaces where those in need can enjoy affordable meals and connect with others.

Making a Difference
The day was particularly special as it was the first time Horsham Matters has welcomed such a large group of volunteers at once. Seeing 23 people spread across different services highlighted just how much can be achieved when a team comes together with a shared commitment to supporting their local community.
Their enthusiasm, positivity and willingness to get involved was evident throughout, and every volunteer played an important part in keeping our services running.
A huge thank you to everyone from People’s Partnership who took part, your support had a meaningful impact and was greatly appreciated by both staff and people across Horsham District who rely on our services.
The success of this day also demonstrated the value of corporate volunteering. If your business is looking for a meaningful way to make a difference to your local community whilst bringing colleagues together, we’d love to hear from you.
